Last month, both The Mall Nursery and School celebrated World Book Day.

Our staff and nursery children dressed up as their favourite book characters and they all looked amazing. During the day, the children took part in a range of activities including painting and it was great to everyone in their costumes!

The children love role play and dressing up so this was the perfect day for them to all dress up together across each of our rooms. It is important to provide a rich range of quality children’s literature and dialogic shared reading experiences to involve children in critical engagement with narratives, characters and plots

The children created some beautiful canvas paintings using paint and flowers as we enjoy the Spring weather. Painting allows children to practise manipulative skills and to improve their motor skills by holding the flowers and putting them in the paint and then onto the canvas.
