Our pre-schoolers enjoyed Sports Day at The Mall before the end of the Summer term. They walked from the nursery up to the school and met Mr Alvarez in the senior playground, before beginning the races! As well as running races, the children completed ball games and obstacle courses, all of which promoted teamwork and physical activity, as well as encouraging gross motor skills development and hand-eye coordination in a fun way.
The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and particularly liked watching their parents take part in a special race at the end! The adults were challenged to balance hoops on their heads, jump in and out of hoops and weave around cones, much to their children’s’ amusement.
At the end of the Sports Day all the young participants were awarded with medals and certificates by Mr Gosden and Neetha – it was a huge success.
