We hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween last week. Our children enjoyed a range of activities throughout the week to get them in the spirit.
The children dressed up in their costumes on Halloween and enjoyed a disco, dancing with their friends and enjoying the bubbles.
Our toddlers have been playing a fun game to match the correct body parts and costumes together, prompting their thinking and encouraging them to engage in conversation about which pieces match together.
We have also enjoyed a range of incredible Halloween themed tuff trays and activities throughout the week. They love seeing the different sizes and colours of the pumpkins. Displays and activities can connect experiences and provide reminders of different seasons and events for the children.
They all thoroughly enjoyed getting involved in the activities, helping them to recognise different imagery that indicate Halloween, including pumpkins, ghosts and skeletons.
Finally, the children made a delicious pumpkin soup, inspired by Helen Cooper’s ‘Pumpkin Soup’ storybook. They independently cut up a range of vegetables to make the perfect soup for everyone to enjoy.
