The children at the nursery celebrated World Dinosaur Day last month with a very fun experiment. Our amazing Toddler 1 team set up a Jurassic world for the children, with mini volcanos, plants, sand and of course toy dinosaurs. Using vinegar and baking powder the volcanos erupted and the children loved seeing the chemical reaction. This was a lot of fun for the children, as they were able to have sensory and imaginative play in the garden.
Our preschool class celebrated by reading Dylan’s Amazing Dinosaurs. They were able to learn about triceratops while having a relaxing story time in the garden. It is important for the children to spend time outdoors as it benefits their health and wellbeing and all areas of development and learning.
Dinosaurs are very popular at the nursery and it was great to see different rooms having a lot of fun.
